Part I Introduction

In daily work or life, apologies are necessary when your conduct is not appropriate, events do not run as planned or some facts and conditions prevent you from fulfilling a task, in order to maintain good relationship with the offended person. Besides, your apology should be sincere and brief. A letter of apology usually falls into three parts. First, you begin your letter by giving the writing purpose and making an apology. Second, you give a brief explanation and offer methods to remedy the situation. Third, you close your letter by asking your reader to accept your apology and expressing your wishes to maintain a positive relationship.

日常工作和生活中,由于主观或客观原因,给对方带来了不便、麻烦或损失时,应该及时致歉。道歉信的语气一定要诚恳,措辞坦率。道歉信一般由三部分组成。首先开门见山表达歉意,说明写信目的,然后解释事情发生的原因,有时还需提出补救办法。最后请求对方接受道歉并希望维持双方的积极关系。
