1. Keep your résumé concise and easy to read.

2. The layout of your résumé is extremely important. It needs to maintain a clean and professional appearance.

3. Leave one line space between sections.

4. If you use italics, bold or any other formatting, be consistent.

5. Your contact information is the most important information in the entire document. Make sure your name, address, phone number and e-mail address are clearly visible at the top of your document.

6. When you describe your job objective, education, work experience, honors and skills, etc, do not use complete sentences. Instead, use verbs or adjectives.

7. Use parallel structure for description.
