4.Ending Sentences with Prepositions句末介词

There are sentences that must end in prepositions.If the sentence becomes awkward by trying to get a sentence order that does not end with a preposition,then end by all means the sentence with a preposition.When the preposition is the important word in the verb-preposition combination,putting the preposition at the end of the sentence will provide emphasis.

有些句子必须以介词结尾,不然将显得非常生硬拗口。在动词和介词构成的短语中,将介词置于句末可起强调作用。

She could not imagine what I had been through during the peak selling season.

What do you want the sales record of previous years'for?

Do you know what the company's profile is about?

His resignation from the Board is uncalled for.
