Regardless of punctuation styles，the only letter parts(outside of the body)to be followed by punctuation marks are the salutation(followed by a colon)and complimentary closing(followed by a comma)．Within the body，the general rules of punctuation apply．For open styles，no punctuation is used，except in the body．(See Model Letter 2)
