We can make a house of rattan.

We can make our house in the treetops.

If we have no food,we will eat wind.

If there is no wood,we will burn chaff,

Until every last bit of chaff is burnt.

As month after month goes by,

Other couples start to quarrel with each other,

But we go out arm in arm to watch.

While other couples fight,

We go out hand in hand to take aim,

Returning home after taking a shot.

Arriving home,we find that the fire has smoldered out.

Together we blow on the embers of the fire,

Laughing when the fire flames up,

As we fan away the smoke.
