这里所说的“直译”就是忠实地传达原文的信息，除结构根据中英文的差异会发生改变外，其他无须做任何的变通。一般说来，如果原旅游文本包含的均是实质性信息，而且没有太多特殊的文化内容，直译不会引起读者的误解，反而会让读者感到信息很充足，这种情况下就应选用“直译”这一策略。例如：

例1：

以上的四个例子，不论是例1、例2的英文原文还是例3、例4的中文原文均包含了实质性的信息，例1主要介绍了旅游过程中租赁自行车的信息，非常清楚明白，例2则是对卢塞恩获得能源奖的介绍，例3则是对桂林这一城市的地理位置、面积、人口及其旅游地位进行介绍，例4对紫禁城的结构及建筑特色进行了简要介绍，因此，在翻译中均做“直译”处理，这样目的语读者就会根据这些信息比较顺利地进行自行车租赁、了解卢塞恩的环保成绩或选择是否去桂林旅游、增进对紫禁城的了解等。
