有一句话，大家可能都知道，叫“文如其人”，英文是“The style is the man himself”。从一个人的行文就能看出他的品德、品性。整洁的文风不仅是对读者的尊重，更是对自己的尊重。这从一个侧面说明了文稿格式的重要性，它是写作的“面子”，马虎不得。一些学生认为，作文注重内容，不注重形式。这是一种误解，干净整洁的文章使人耳目一新，急于阅读，使人对作者产生一种办事认真，思路清晰的第一印象；相反，杂乱无章、急就章式的文字使人觉得作者思维混乱，不知所云。严格的写作格式要求是英语写作不可分割的一部分，学习英语写作就必须遵守英语写作的规范，否则就不能称其为英语写作。总体上讲，英语文稿格式要给人留下整洁，清晰的印象。具体写作时，要注意以下问题：

为了保证作文整体效果美观整洁，就要“留天留地”，当我们按照阅读的要求写一篇文章时，应该隔行书写以便于有改正的空间。必须在页面顶端和底部留出大约2厘米，在左侧和右侧可分别留出大约1.5厘米的页边距。

题目一般都在第一行居中，所有单词（包括合成词中连字符后面的单词）的首字母（除冠词、连词和短小的介词、不定式to外）全一律大写。题目中不能使用句号；可以使用引号标注引文或文章的标题，也可使用下划线标注著作名称；如题目本身是一个直接问句，则使用问号，如是间接问句，则不使用问号，如：

文章正文每段第一行向里缩进四到五个字母；每行不能以逗号、句号、分号、冒号、问号、连字符或感叹号等标点符号开头，不能以半个成对标点（如括号、引号）结束。如：

The Harm of PC Games

If you ask college students about their hobbies， most of them will answer without hesitation， PC games. Nowadays staying up playing PC games has become a prevalent phenomenon among youngster. However， very few people will deny its side-effects. To begin with， it will harm the physical health of the player. Many PC game addicts sit for hours or even days before the computer，doing or even eating nothing.
