Overall,the financial workforce in Shanghai is rather young.According to the survey,of all the 227,352 employees of financial companies in Shanghai,those aged below 30 account for 39.05%,employees aged 30—39 account for 36.51%,employees aged 40—49 account for 18.17%while those aged above 50 have a much smaller percentage:employees aged 50—59 account for 6.05%(see Figure 14).
