Sports

The suggested points below are about the possible connection between personality traits and a sport.

Basketball

Basketball is so in vogue nowadays among young people and those famous basketball teams or clubs have the most stylish players. Basketball is a fast-paced game that’s fun to watch and easy to understand, so it’s easy to see why it’s winning the popularity right now. People who like basketball are more likely to be trend-setters who appreciate fashion and fast-paced action more than history or camaraderie.

Football

Real football fans know that a football game is more than a game. It’s an informal holiday event for them. They spend days planning how to cheer on their team on the spot, show up hours before the game and take their seats. After the game, they celebrate the victory of their team for hours. This is why football fans tend to be social people who like to party.

Golf

Golf requires focus, precision and a relatively small amount of athletic ability. One’s love of golf on the one hand says “I don’t always play sports, but when I do, I prefer not to sweat too much”, on the other it suggests sophistication and affluence because he/she takes himself/herself to be wealthier than ordinary tycoons due to a decent set of clubs and membership fees aren’t cheap.

Hockey

Hockey fans know history, strategy and talent. They understand what non-hockey fans don’t. The game is not about high-speed collisions and randomness. It is about creating opportunities with creativity, position and vision. They understand that it is about timing, precision and open space. So people who love hockey tend to be open-minded and tolerant.

Table tennis

Table tennis entails numerous strokes and shots required to be mastered through long hours of practice. Competition is mentally demanding. Table tennis lovers have the ability to be communicative, competitive, conscientious and resilient. Perseverance and perfectionism are also ingredients to develop a sense of competitiveness.

Tennis

Tennis is a physically challenging game. It’s also a sport for confident, independent individuals. People who play it or love watching it are not only good lovers but also active in their daily life. They don’t lose focus and they like exploring.

Volleyball

Compared to athletes in soccer, football or hockey, volleyball players barely move, spending much of their time standing in the same small area of the court. Thus volleyball lovers may attach importance to quickness and agility rather than straight-ahead speed in their daily life.
