Case study
A 65 years old man had a history of liver cirrhosisfor more than 10 years. Recently, his appetite decreased significantly, andjaundice aggravated. This morning, after coughing violently, there suddenlyappeared brown liquid, the amount was about 1200ml, with black stool twice,accompanied by dizziness, blurred vision and palpitation. Then he conducted an Emergencyadmission.
Physical examination: clear mind, pale,blood pressure 80 / 60mmhg, pulse 110 beats / min.
Gastroscope: it indicates esophageal andgastric varices.
