     【北京概况】 Beijing, located in the northeast of China, covers an area of 16410.5 square kilometres. Its population is about 20 million. It is the center of China’s political, cultural and economical activities.    

      【景点介绍】 Ladies and gentlemen, please look out of the right-hand windows. You will have a good view of the Olympic Park with the famous Bird’s Nest stadium and Water Cube. The day after tomorrow, we will pay a visit there. 

        There are many sites of cultural and historical interest in Beijing, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace are World Cultural Heritage Sites. The famous Forbidden City is  in the center of the city. Tomorrow morning, we will pay a visit to it.

【北京美食】As a Chinese saying goes, "No visit to Beijing is complete if you miss visiting the Great Wall or dining on Beijing Roast Duck". This evening will be your opportunity to eat delicious roast duck in Beijing and then we will go the the theater to see a short performance of Peking Opera and an acrobatic show（杂技表演）.

       As we travel along, you will have a view of the outskirts and the city. The city has a history of more than 690,000 years, with attractions such as the Great Wall, the palace museum, and the site of Zhoukoudian-home of Peking Ape Man. Beijing is a noted city for international tourism. And the Olympic Games of 2008 have made it a more vigorous and a more enchanting city. The Birds Nest and the Water Cube attract many eyes. 

       Please look straight ahead. That is Yonghe Lama Temple. It is one of the biggest and the best preserved temples of Lamaism in Beijing.
