Chapter 1 Body Posture
【导读】 武术各拳种练习时对身体姿态的要求虽大同但存小异,本章节仅介绍武术太极中常用的三种基本手型和两种基本步型,便于初学者掌握。
【Guide】 In practicing Wushu forms,the requirements of body posture are roughly the same with certain minor differences among different forms.In order to help beginners to master them easily,this chapter focuses on introducing three basic hand forms and two basic foot forms.
一、拳 Quan(the Fist of Taiji)
五指弯曲,拇指压于食指和中指的第二指关节上,不可太紧或太松,拳面要平(图1)
Five finger curved in,press the thumb on the middle phalanges of your index and middle fingers,close your hand naturally,neither too tight or too loose.The surface of your fist should be flat(Fig.1),

二、掌 Zhang(the Palm of Taiji)
五指自然舒展,掌心微含(图2)。
Stretch your five fingers naturally.The center of your palm is hollow (Fig.2).
虎口呈弧形,手指不可僵直也不可松软弯曲。
Hu Kou(the part of hand between thumb and the index finger)is like an
arc.Your fingers are neither too stiff nor too loose and bent.
三、勾 Gou(the Hook Hand of Taiji)
五指第一指关节自然捏拢,屈腕使勾尖自然朝下,不可
过于用力下勾也不可用力上翘(图3)。
Close the first phalanges of your five fingers together naturally. Don't over bend your wrist,and don't hook tip stick up(Fig.3).

四、弓步 Gong Bu(Bow Stance)
任意脚向前一大步,弓出腿屈膝前弓,膝部不超过脚尖,另一腿自然伸直
脚尖斜前外展45°,脚跟不可离地。两脚横向距离为10~20厘米(图4).
One foot takes a big step and knee bent.The knee should not be over
the toes.Straighten the other leg,toes pointing at 45°outwards and heel on the ground. Feet apart about 10-20(Fig.4)

五、虚步 Xu Bu(Empty Stance)
一腿屈膝下蹲,全脚着地,脚尖外展45°。另一腿微屈,脚跟离地,脚尖点地(图5-6) 。
Bent one leg with whole foot on the ground,toes pointing at 45°outwards.Bent the other knee slightly and raise the heel,toes touchig the ground(Fig.5-6).
