The School of Engineering decided to pursue business certification for its four undergraduate programs in Business Administration, E-commerce, Marketing, and Logistics Management starting in March 2021. After careful consideration, the school ultimately chose the accreditation from the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Business (ACBSP). Following this decision, the school leadership meticulously assembled a professional and efficient team: with the dean serving as the "general commander," the person responsible for major construction taking on the role of the "core coordinator," and the business certification specialist and key teachers forming the "execution team." All professional course teachers constituted the "support team," collectively constituting the business certification team. They began formulating a specific assessment plan for business certification.

The specific steps were as follows: first, led by each major's construction manager, multiple online and offline meetings were held to gather opinions and suggestions from different majors, forming preliminary plans for specific projects. Subsequently, these plans were submitted to the backbone teachers and certification professionals of each major for open discussion and opinion collection, further refining and adjusting project details to ensure accurate teaching objectives and feasible implementation. Based on this, the school particularly emphasized industry-university cooperation. During the business certification process, major leaders and certification specialists often consulted employers from local enterprises with which they had cooperative relationships, discussing in depth the management major talent capabilities required by local enterprises and corresponding project content. This process not only increased the alignment between teaching content and actual job requirements but also promoted interaction and cooperation between the college and enterprises. Ultimately, through such comprehensive and meticulous discussion and feedback, the school successfully formed seven Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) rubric scoring tables, providing students with clear, specific, and highly relevant learning assessment criteria designed to comprehensively enhance their professional abilities and employment competitiveness.

Starting from the 2022-2023 academic year, core courses in Business Administration, Marketing, E-commerce, Cross-border E-commerce, and Logistics Management at the School of Engineering adopted SLO rubric evaluation methods to assess student learning outcomes. By the time of this report, successful data collection had been completed across two semesters and three academic years. This data collection marked a significant step forward for the school in terms of educational quality assessment and improvement. The Data Management and Application major was established later, with fewer courses undergoing SLO rubric evaluation; however, it also carried out course teaching reforms according to school requirements related to classroom teaching reform and process-oriented teaching reform, using diversified evaluation methods for course assessment. After comparing current evaluation methods with SLO rubric evaluation methods, this major will continue to implement SLO rubric evaluation methods in subsequent courses.

During the SLO rubric evaluation process, the school set up reasonable assessment methods and collected data results from each course group at the end of each semester by responsible persons, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data collection. Under the guidance of the business certification team, teachers conducted detailed calculations and result analyses of these project results and proposed action plans aimed at improving student learning effectiveness. In addition, major construction managers and course leaders were responsible for supervising project effectiveness, ensuring that each project not only provided learning outcomes but also proposed corresponding feasible effective improvement plans. Throughout the rating implementation process, teaching faculty took on important responsibilities for teaching effectiveness and assessment data authenticity and continuously improved projects based on analysis of assessment results, achieving remarkable results in improving education quality and meeting industry needs.
