Teaching Objectives of This Unit：

Teaching objectives include 3 perspectives: knowledge, competence, and literacy.

For linguistic knowledge part, we are going to learn the Internet-related words and expressions, latest technology achievements and the influence of technology on ourlives.

For competence perspective, we’ll try to understand the function of news headline and lead; use news structure for predicting the main idea, which can help us improve the listening skills for tech news. We can practice our speaking skills on clarifying our point of view and elaborating our ideas. The communicative skills are introduced in the interview part. 

For literacy cultivation, we can discuss the relationship among internet, information and people. Let’s witness the achievements of Shenzhen with the support of internet technology to further our understanding of Core Socialist Values.
