The teaching objectives of Unit 6 include 3 perspectives: knowledge, competence and literacy.

1. Knowledge. For the linguistic knowledge part, you will learn about words and expressions related to career planing, self-value building, and career choices. Also, you will learn four basic types of questions in news liestening test and the strategy of applying body language when talking.

2. Competence.  For competence part, you will get to learn four different types of questions in news listening test, identify some strategies to different questions and apply the strategies to different questions. Also you will get to learn how to use the listening tactic to understand the news, so as to improve your listening and viewing skills. In addiction, you will have an integrated speaking practice with the use of body language which can help you improve speaking skills.

       3. Literacy. For literacy part, by Citing the remark of President Xi, you will be lead to discuss about the topic of  how to build good self values, how to make meaningful career choices, how to overcome procrastination, the useful tips on time-management and the importance of lifelong learning.
