The Teaching Objectives of  Unit 5:

1. Knowledge

 For the linguistic knowledge part, you will learn about words and expressions related to healthy lifestyle, China's medical and health services, the "Healthy China 2030" blueprint, Chinese people’s life expectancy, the president Xi Jinping's commitment in solving the health problems facing the Chinese people, and more.

2. Competence

 For competence part, you will get to know the news about health and medicine, and know how to use the listening tactic of guessing and prediction to understand the news, so as to improve your listening and viewing skills. In addiction, you will learn how to ask for opinion and how to give direct advice, how to form a conversation based on the specific situation, and know how to construct oral task of solving problem, all of which can help you improve speaking skills.

3.  Literacy

 For Literacy part, we will lead you to compare the Chinese values and western values on food, and discuss how to maintain the traditional Chinese virtues and tackle the bad habit of wasting food among contemporary young adults.
