Audio Script:
W: Where should I get a dog?
M: Go to the animal rescue centre for laboratory dogs.
W: How awful! I wouldn’t want a dog that was used for testing because it would have problems.
M: No, these dogs were tested, but they were not affected by the research, so the scientists have permitted them to be adopted.
W: But it might be afraid of me because humans have been hurting it whilst testing.
M: No, it won’t. I recently went there with my cousin, and the dogs were quite friendly.
W: Do they look funny or damaged? I want a cute dog.
M: They look like normal dogs and are very cute. It would be nice if you could give one of these dogs a chance for a wonderful life after they contributed to science.
W: I agree. It would make me happy to give a better life to a dog that helped to give me a better life.
