Audio Script:
In the last several decades, there have been some changes to expectations about women’s lives.
As society has progressed, there have been greater opportunities for women to do other things instead of being a housewife and mother. Parents are now encouraging their daughters to find careers and be more independent. They are telling them to be doctors, engineers, firefighters and architects rather than just someone’s wife.
Whilst all of this is good, there must be more changes for women to be truly equal to men. Women are still paid less money than men, and high-level management position aren’t offered to women as easily as they are offered to men. Attitudes towards working women must also change. If a man asks his workers for many things, he's considered to be a strong leader. If a woman does the same thing, some people say she’s unreasonable. Women have to continue working towards equal treatment, and someday attitudes will change.
