Background information


Carbon peak, carbon neutral

Carbon peak means that the total carbon dioxide emissions reach the historical peak at 

at a certain point in time, during which the total carbon emissions will still fluctuate,but 

the overall trend will be smooth, and then the total carbon emissions will gradually 

decline steadily.

Carbon neutrality: refers to the total carbon dioxide emissions directly or indirectly 

generated by enterprises, groups or individuals in a certain period of time, through 

carbon dioxide removal means to offset this part of carbon emissions, to achieve 

the purpose of "net zero emissions".


Ecological civilization

Ecological civilization is a form of human civilization. It respects and maintains the 

ecological environment as thetheme, takes sustainable development as the basis, and 

focuses on the continued development of mankind in the future. The proposal of 

ecological civilization is the inevitable result of deepeningpeople's understanding of 

sustainable development. By observing the principles of sustainability, commonality 

and equity, implementing energy conservation and emission reduction, developing low-

carbon economy, building a harmonious society and building ecological 

civilization, human society and ecological system achieve coordinated development.


Paris Agreement

It is an agreement within the United Nations FrameworkConvention on Climate Change 

(UNFCCC《联合国气候变化框架公约》) dealing with greenhouse gas emissions 

reduction, adaptation, and finance. The agreement was adopted on   December 12, 2015.
