Background information

University of Pennsylvania

The university that the author wrote about is the University of Pennsylvania(commonly known as Penn  ), whichis a private Ivy League research university located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Penn has a long andproud tradition of intellectual rigor and pursuit of innovative knowledge. Its founder, Benjamin Franklin, was one of the founding fathers of the United states.



Philadelphia (费城)

It is Pennsylvania’s largest city, notable for its rich history, with the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall (where the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution were signed) and other historic sites. The city became a member of the Organization of World Heritage Cities in 2015, as thefirst World Heritage City in the United States.
