Community Health Nursing

  There is an increasing tendency to refer to public health nursing（PHN） and community health nursing（CHN） interchangeably. PHN/CHN synthesizes the knowledge from the nursing and public health sciences to promote and preserve the health of individuals, families, and communities. The goal is to improve the health of the community through identifying high-risk subgroups and directing resources towards these people. These two definitions come from the concept of primary health care （PHC） and community health care（CHC）.
