第1-2课时Reading and  Speaking

Teaching Aims: 1. Get details about people and events;

2. Talk about your favorite invention;

3.Can use the main ideas about sentences given to                 make the dialogues;         

4.Improved the ability of making dialogue in English.

Teaching important point: Talk about your favorite things

Teaching difficult point: The ability of making dialogue about important person or event and the reason in English.

Teaching methods:   Student self study    Group corporation Independently inquiry

Teaching processes:

Step 1  Lead in

 Before teaching, I'll ask all students what the four famous inventions are in China. After answering, I'll show the four famous inventions pictures to all students. Then continue to ask them what they favorite inventions are about the four famous inventions,and whyI will ask two or three students to answer my questions.Then let them to talk free.

(The purpose of this part is to arouse the students' interesting to learn this lesson and their proud of China.)

Part 2  While speaking

1.Ask all the students to listen to the video carefully and then guess what the persons are talking about.

(Purpose:Let students have a holistic perception of this conversation.)

      2.Let the students form a pair to play Lin Yang and Jane Adams respectively and then make a dialogue according the information given. Then underline the sentences of talking about favorite things and reasons.

         The teacher take the whole classes to check their learning results.

        3.The teacher shows students information about Lin yang's and Jane Adams's. Asks students to complete the blanks in group discussion. After that asks the group representative to complete the blanks.

   (Through group cooperation, We help students to deeply analyze the relevant information of the dialogue, and in this way, it is also reflects the student-oriented teaching concept.)

4.The teacher leads the students to explain the language points and lets the students make their own sentences according to the language points.  

Part 3  After speaking
