Teaching aims:

1. Knowledge aims：

To learn some words and expressions:doctor/delivery/flight attendant/firefighter/family name/

given name/Star Vocational High School/have a class/introduce oneself/talk about/look at/hold a basketball/in sb’s arms/must be.

2. Ability aims:  

To be able to introduce family members and greet others.

To understand the difference of names between Chinese and western countries.  

3. Emotional aims ：

To be polite when greeting and communicating.  

Teaching important and difficult points:

To be able to greet politely and introduce family simply.

To master how to introduce family members.

Task-based method;Situational teaching method

Teaching procedures:

Step 1 Lead-in

Greet the whole class and introduce the teacher myself .Then ask them to introduce themselves simply.

Step 2 :Look and match.

Present the pictures and match the pictures with right description.Know how to greet politely and introduce ourselves simply.

Step 3: Listening

Before playing the listening, ask students to read the options to predict the main idea ,then listen and choose the right title of the listening .

Step 4 :Dialogue  

Listen to the recording. Read the dialogue in pairs ,underline the sentences which are used to ask for information about a person. Then check the answers.

Step 5:Speaking

1)Read the given information about three different person to practise dialogue with partners. Know how to introduce family member and ask for information about a person.

2)Make own dialogue and think of how to ask for information about a person,then act it out in front of the class.
