教学活动1:动名词的用法分析
(1)教师示范
1.Before going to Americal he devoted most of his time to __improving______(improve) his oral English.(介词+动名词)
分析:devote...to...中的to是介词,所以跟在其后的动词要变成动名词。
(2)学生合作讨论分析
2.Reading is an experience quite different from____watching____(watch) TV; there are pictures___forming_______(form) in your mind instead of before your eyes.(介词+动名词)(现在分词作定语)
3.The film sstar wears sunglasses. Therefore, he can go shopping without _being recognized_______(recognize).(介词+被动态)
教学活动2:过去分词的用法分析
(1)教师示范
1.___Driven______(drive) by a greater demand for vegetables,farmers have built more greenhouses.(过去分词用作状语从句)
分析:状语从句中的动词drive和主句中的主语farmers是被动关系:农民被驱使。所以用过去分词driven。
2.____Mailed______(mail) out automatically, the email will be received by all the club members.(过去分词用作状语从句)
分析:状语从句中的动词mail和主句中的主语the email是被动关系:邮件被邮寄。所以用过去分词mailed。
3.__Discussed_/ Having been discussed________(discuss) several times, he can complete his painting.(过去分词用作状语)
分析:状语从句中的动词discuss和主句中的主语he是被动关系:他被讨论。所以用过去分词discussed。

(1)教师示范
1.Please blow off the candle before you leave. don't leave it ___burning____(burn) all night long.(现在分词用作宾补)
分析:现在分词短语跟在it后面作宾语补足语,表示和宾语之间是主动关系。
2.There was a terrible noise ___following_______(follow) the sudden burst of light.(现在分词作定语)
分析:现在分词短语作后置定语修饰noise,和noise之间是主动关系。
(2)学生合作讨论分析
1.There's a note pinned to the door____saying______(say) when the shop will open again.(现在分词用作定语)
2.__Not having completed_________(not complete) the programme, our team have to stay there for another three weeks.(现在分词用作状语)
教学活动4. 不定式的用法分析
(1)教师示范
1.This robot is supposed ___to save________(save) a lot of labor, but it still has many problems.
分析:be supposed to do sth 是固定搭配;to save 跟在动词suppose后面作宾语。
2.With so many difficult problems____to solve_____(solve), the chairman felt stressed the whole month.(不定式用作宾补)
分析:with后面的so many difficult problems作宾语,不定式to solve作并与补足语,表达的意思是:还有很多难题要去解决。
(2)学生合作讨论分析
1.Whether it will be good or harmful for us remains ___to be seen_______( see)(不定式用作表语)
2.It's standard practice for a company like this one____to employ_______(employ) a security officer.(不定式作主语)
