Dialogue 1

Amy: My name isAmy, I have registered at this college majoring in English, I am in Class one.

Bob: I’m in Class one too. I am so happy to be your classmate, please call me Bob.

Question: What’s the possible relationship between the two speakers?

Dialogue 2

Amy: I want to apply for a campuscard at the Student Center this afternoon, but I don’t know where it is. Canyou help me?

Bob: The Student Center is behindthe Teaching Building one. I’d love to go with you, but I have three classesthis afternoon.

Question: What is Amy going to do this afternoon?

Dialogue 3

Bob: Themilitary training will begin soon. I’m so excited about it.

Amy: Why? Ithink it’s a new challenge for me.

Bob: Sure, it’sa little hard for some people, but you’ll adapt to it soon.

Amy: Have you adapted to the new college environment?

Bob: Yes,I like my major Computer Science. The courses are not very hardfor me. I also like to do sports in the gym.  

Amy: Me too, I like my major Law, the teachers are kind. I have joined manystudent associations.

Conversation 1

Sally: Did you watch the movie at the collegeauditorium last night? What did you think of it?

Peter:I watched it last night,but I didn’t like it. I couldn’t stand the music. Besides,the story was so boring that it made me fall asleep.

Sally: I see.The movie wasn’t exciting, but I think the music was great. I

have always been fond of country music. And the movie had a lot of countrymusic.

Peter: I know. However, I don’t likecountry music. I would have preferred learning my major in my  dormitory with my five roommates.

Sally: I amsorry to hear that. In my opinion, it’s important to relax after class.

Peter: Why don’t we ride withstudents from cycling association on campus next time when we are all free?

 

Conversation2

Sally:Recently I having been looking for a part-time job after class. I think I cando on the weekends.

Peter: Wow, that’s a good idea. When did you come upwith such a good idea?

Sally: As a freshman, I wanted to get some teachingexperience, and I like staying with kids.

Peter: Actually, I’m free on weekends. I always dosome sports such as basketball and football.

Sally: Let’s do it together. We can do sports and thenspend some time with kids.

Peter: I like working with others, but I’m afraid thatI can’t get along well with children.

Sally: Come on. I think you are the best person forthe job.  

Peter: Thank you for your advice.
