2. 教学基本要求

1) Make students know the background that led to the appearance of Realism.

2) Make clear about what realistic literature is.

3) Guide Ss to think about the reasons for the rise of novels in the 18th century in England.

4) Make Ss know industrialization and overseas colonization and have an idea about how these events contributed to the change of literary form.
