1) Make students know William Blake, his writing styles and masterpieces.

2) Understand Blake's ideas and writing styles better by analyzing his "The Chimney Sweeper."

3. 单元重点、难点 

重点：

1) A general introduction to William Blake and his works;

2)  Know main ideas contained in his  representative poems; 

3) Focus on"The Chimney Sweeper".

 

难点：

1) How to understand Blake's profound thinking by interpreting his "simple" verses;

2) How his life experiences, occupations, hobbies and the social background influence his poems?
