2. 教学基本要求

1) Make students know the social background at that time.

2) Know something aobut John Milton, John Bunyan and their masterpieces.

3) Make Ss know Francis Bacon and his major essays.

4) Analyze the reasons why Englightment did not happen in Britain. 

5) Let Ss have a general idea of Metaphysical poetry, John Donne and his major poems.
