| Step1.The importance of reading Ss discuss: What do we read for? To get pleasure To get information To improve reading skills Step 2. Aims and requirements of teaching reading 1.Ss discuss what should be the aims and requirements of teaching reading 1) Aims: A1: love reading A2: know what to read A3: know how to read A4: develop learners’ high quality thinking skills 2) For Aim1: To be motivate to read, to enjoy reading; chance to show their understanding; cultivate imaginations Ss discuss: How do we cultivate children’s imaginations to help their reading? 3) For Aim2: (1) Task 5.3.3(P178):What are these teachers trying to do? Why do they do this? Do you think it is necessary? (Group work) Find out what information children can get from the textbooks. the script, links between words, sounds and their meanings, phonemic awareness, main ideas, relations between parts of the text (2) Discussion points: Aims of teaching reading: • To become familiarized with the printed letters and words and get to know the relations between sound and words in English. • To learn the meaning of many words in context. • To understand how books work and to experience a variety of writing styles. • To understand the world in which they live. • To become aware of the difference between written language and everyday conversation. (3)Requirements of teaching reading Level 1: 1).能看图识字; 2).能在指认物体的前提下认读所学词语; 3).能在图片的帮助下读懂简单的小故事。 Level 2: 1).能认读所学词语; 2).能根据拼读的规律,读出简单的单词; 3).能读懂教材中简短的要求或指令; 4).能看懂贺卡等所表达的简单信息; 5).能借助图片读懂简单的故事或小短文, 并养成按意群阅读的习惯。 6). 能正确朗读所学故事或短文。 3. Implications: Reading: 认读,拼读,阅读,朗读 Step 3. Appreciation Ss watch a choice lesson, “The Kings New Clothes”, get the objectives of this lesson, and analyze the activities used for teaching reading. Step4. Teaching “Read and write” (For Aim 3) 1. Ss read the part of“Read and write” in PEP primary English books, and give the content analysis. 通过配有图片的各种形式文本(日记、舞台独白、叙述、邀请函、电子邮件、便条、情景对话等)提供有一定意义的语篇综合性训练活动,包括阅读理解活动及个性化写句子或补全文段的活动,旨在学生进一步巩固本单元学习的核心句型和词汇。 2.
