Nationality of claims

What are the ways to acquire a state`s nationality? By birth, by marriage, by adoption or legitimating, by naturalization and trasfer of territory can make a person acquire a nationlity. Then how can a person lose his or her nationality? Does state have the obligation to protect its people? While, diplomatic protection is based on the political consideration.


Question:

Is it possible for a person to get two nationalities of China and an other state? Why?
