Task 1: Conduct an online search to find answers to the following questions on Page 96:
(1) What are the most pressing environmental issues faced by the world?
(2) What is biodiversity? Why is it important to protect it? What actions can we take to protect it?
Task 2: Read the key text of Unit 6 on Page 99 to 101 and answer the following questions):
(1) What must we do to promote the green development model and a green way of life?
(2) Why is necessary for us to promote the green development model and a green way of life?
(3) What is meant by the term “green development”?

How to Begin Your Speech
Task 4: Conduct research on the environmental challenges your hometown is facing and green efforts it has made to address those challenges. You can find facts and figures on the official website of related government organs. Write a 3-minute speech on My City’s Green Efforts and upload to iTest for online machine assessment and offline teacher-student collaborative assessment (A modified task from Warming-up questions on Page 97).
Task 5: Practice reciting the tongue twister on Page 97 with a video clip of children reciting it.
Task 6: Listen to the recording of Audio 05. Follow along and read it out loud. Pay attention to grouping and linking words together, as well as clear articulation of content words.
