Video script:
We are a nation that constantly worries about our funds. But when will we finally be in a good place with our money?
Perhaps you are already there. We are here on the streets to find out.
Speaker A: Am I good with money? I think generally that I am.
Speaker B: When I have money, I'm frugal and I'm responsible.
Speaker C: I'm gonna say half-half. I think I'm pretty good at what I wanna be.
Speaker D: Save enough every month. Er, I don't go mad and I put lots into the joint account.
Speaker E: Costa Rica? I'm still saving so, yeah, I'm having a great time.
Journalist: Costa Rica? I bet that cost a fortune.
Speaker E: Actually didn't. Wait till the sale. Saved 150 pounds so...
Speaker F: I can tell you the age that I became a bit more confident is around the age of 30.
Speaker G: Within my mid-30s. I think after university, paid off some debt.
Speaker H: I guess it's the point where you bought a property. Most people view it like that.
Speaker I: Saying that someone is bad with money, if they have…like, there's an emergency and they have, like, nothing to deal with it.
Speaker H: People shouldn't be taking out the credit to buy things that they don't need.
Speaker J: I think people want what they want when they want it and the problem is they can't really afford it sometimes.
Speaker C: Stretching yourself with credit and over-buying and… and… and…so forth, spending outside of your means.
Speaker K: That is…So…It's… It's so easy to do because the credit is available. And once you get used to sort of living outside of your means, it's very difficult to draw back, isn't it?
Speaker H: I'm in a good place.
Speaker D: I'm in a very good place.
Speaker J: We'rein a good place.
Speaker F: We are…We are doing OK ourselves.
Speaker I: I am in a good place.
Speaker K: Financially I'm OK at the moment, yeah, luckily comfortable.
Speaker C: I think, yeah, doing well.
Speaker F: High five.
