Lin Yang: Have you heard of the podcast, Western Art?

Lin Yang: Oh! Actually, the third part is out now. It’s called Greek Art.
Ella Baker: Great! What do they talk about?
Lin Yang: They discuss Greek architecture, sculpture, and the Olympic Games.
Ella Baker: Ah, so they focus on ancient Greece? That’s a lively civilization, and it’s very interesting.
Lin Yang: Exactly. You’ll enjoy it when you come to that part!

A reporter is interviewing Zhang Qian, a volunteer guide of the Western Painting Exhibition.
Reporter: So how long have you prepared for this exhibition?
Zhang Qian: For about 3 months. And the whole experience is still fresh in my memory.
Reporter: Which artist or works impress you most in the exhibition?
Zhang Qian: I think I am most attracted to the works of the Spanish painter Pablo Picasso, the originator of Cubism. He is thought to be one of the greatest artists and sculptors of the 20th century.
Reporter: Ah, Picasso. I think even today we are influenced by his ideas. Which work is your favorite?
Zhang Qian: Oh, if I have to choose one, it will be The Portrait.
Reporter: Why?
Zhang Qian: The eyes of the artist in the picture are curious, and they are full of vitality.
Reporter: Those eyes are also very attractive.
Zhang Qian: Yes, indeed. His eyes mean so much. When we look at Picasso’s paintings there is always something to enlighten our mind and heart. This is Picasso’s gift to us.
Reporter: You really help me understand Picasso much better. Thank you so much.
