Capital investment appraisal

}There are three widely used appraisalmethods:

1.The payback period (using both discountedand non-discounted cash flows).

2.Net present value (NPV).

3.Internal rate of return (IRR).

}All three methods consider the time valueof money, assuming the discounted payback method is used. They are known asdiscounted cash flow (DCF) techniques.
