Entomology part

一、课程简介

   本课程为动植检专业本科生的选修课，讲授共12学时。选用教材为英文原版教材《Plant Pest and their Control》（Peter G. Fenemore, 1984）。讲授内容涵盖昆虫形态、生物学、分类、生理和生态学等的英文概念、术语、基本知识、基本原理和方法。教学采用讲授、讨论和家庭作业等多种形式，旨在使学生掌握和了解昆虫学常用的英文专业词汇、基本知识、原理和方法，能阅读和理解有关的英文文献，提高专业英语写作和交流水平。

二、能力培养任务

  让学生直接接触昆虫学英文原版教材的基本概念、知识和方法等，培养其准确把握专业英语文献句子结构、意群和段落大意等特点，提高读、听、阅读理解和写作等英语综合交流能力，尤其是查阅和理解专业英文文献、写作规范的英文摘要或论文的能力。同时，了解本学科最新的前沿发展动态，拓展和提高学生的学术视野、语言交流表达能力和专业综合素质。
