我们常说的“Very delicious”,竟然是错误说法
民以食为天
作为一个吃货,每天想的都是——
今天吃什么呢?
“小伙伴安利的这家店,这周末去吃吧~”
“天啊这个也太好吃了吧,果断给个好评~”
但是,用英文表达可不能说
These foods are very delicious.
估计很多同学都看不出这句话哪里有问题,
今天就来和小编一起学习下吧~
"Delicious" is a strong adjective for "tasty". Typically, you use absolute adverbs (absolutely, utterly, etc) with strong [adjectives], and gradable adverbs (very) with gradable adjectives.
Delicious本身就是一个强化版的tasty,通常,你使用绝对副词(绝对地absolutely、完全地utterly等)搭配这样的强级形容词,使用可分级副词(非常very)搭配可分级形容词。
常见的强级形容词有:
enormous, huge (巨大的)= very big
brilliant (才华出众的)= very clever
awful; terrible; disgusting; dreadful (极坏的)= very bad
certain (确信的)= very sure
excellent; perfect; ideal; wonderful; splendid (完美的)= very good
还有就是
delicious = very tasty
We do not normally use very with these adjectives. We do not say something is "very enormous" or someone is "very brilliant".
我们通常不用very来修饰这些形容词。我们不会说某件事very enormous或者某人very brilliant。
