Talking About the Itinerary
Miss Li knocks at the door of Mr. Brown’s room in the hotel. She is going to talk with him about the itinerary.
( TG=Tour Guide—Li Hua/Linda; TL=Tour Leader—Frank Brown )
TG: Good evening, Mr. Brown.
TL: Good evening, Miss Li. Come in and sit down, please.
TG: Thanks. Sorry to disturb you, but I come to talk about the itinerary.
TL: Sure. Before our leaving from America, we received the copies of the itinerary from your travel agency. I wonder if there is any change?
TG: No. There’s not any change. But shall I confirm it to make sure that everything is okay?
TL: Good. Let’s go it over again.
TG: OK. Our travel is a 15-day package travel. First you will stay in Beijing for three days. During your stay in Beijing, you will tour around the city, visit the Great Wall, the Summer Palace, the Palace Museum, enjoy the typical local food, performance and go shopping. Then you will leave for Luoyang by flight, and you will have a 2-day Luoyang travel. Then you will visit Xi’an, Jiuzhaigou, and Dali. From Dali you will leave for home by air. I’m sure you will enjoy the beautiful sceneries. I believe that you will have a good time during your travel.
TL: (after a short look at the plan) We will follow the itinerary. I’m looking forward to it.
TG: Exactly? According to the itinerary, the whole trip will last about fifteen days, covering so many places. I’m afraid your group will be exhausted.
TL: No problem. Everybody is healthy and strong. The women with babies can choose to stay at hotel.
TG: Well. If there should be any change, please let me know in advance.
TL: OK. Thank you very much for such a full and interesting itinerary.
TG: You are welcome. If there should be any change, I’ll let you know in time.
TL: That’s fine.
TG: I’m afraid I must be off. Goodbye.
