Units 5 and 6 Giving Advice, Seeking Opinions

I. Warm up

1) What is the best advice you have ever got? Did you ask for the advice or were you offered the advice?

2) What good advice did you give to others? What was it?

3) When you are in trouble, whose opinions do you usually seek?

      

II. Class work

Stand in two circles to have a conversation about any topics listed below.

III. Solo work

Work in groups. One student pretends to be the moderator and the other students work as guest speakers who are going to give opinions on certain issues. Take a minute to outline your speech as soon as a topic is given. Change the moderator each time when you move on to a new topic.
