I. Warm up
Fill in a survey and then Choose one question to answer.

II. Solo work
Watch the videos in Chapter 3.1 and try to work out a sentence to respond to the following situation.
1) You want to know the time. Your cell phone is dead and you have no watch. You are asking a stranger on the street the time.
2) You are at a job interview and now you want to know the salary if you are successfully recruited.
3) You want to find your umbrella left in a classroom where you just had classes. Now you go back to the classroom and are talking to a schoolmate who is just sitting at your old seat.
4) You are on campus and you are asking a professor the way to the canteen.
III. Pair work (Page 26)
Situation 1
· You ask your teacher about the final examination.
Situation 2
· You call the airport to reserve two airline tickets to your hometown Shanghai. You plan to leave on Friday and you ask for information on flights to Shanghai.
Situation 3
· You are planning a journey. Call the travel agency to ask for information concerning travel destinations, transportation arrangements, accommodations and so on.
Situation 4
· You want to make a reservation at a hotel. Call the hotel to ask for information about facilities, price and so forth.
Situation 5
· You want to rent an apartment. Call the landlord or landlady to find out about the rent, facilities, conditions, environment, and other information you think is important to you.
IV. Group work
