(二)、学 情 分 析

学生对于犹太人早期历史和基督教概览的了解可能相对有限。学生可能缺乏涉及西方文化、宗教和历史的深入接触机会。然而,他们通常对国际事务和跨文化交流有浓厚兴趣,希望拓宽自己的知识面。要强调培养学生正确的思想政治观,以及国际视野和文化素养,因此在教学中需要以客观、中立的角度探讨这些主题,避免宗教争议或政治偏见。

在教学设计中,应充分利用学生喜欢多媒体辅助教学的特点,使用图片、视频等视觉资源,使历史故事更生动有趣。针对学生对犹太人和基督教的陌生,可以从基础概念入手,教师还可引导学生通过小组讨论和互动问答,激发他们对这些主题的兴趣,同时培养批判性思维和多元文化的认知。

总体而言,应结合他们的背景和需求,以客观、中立、深入浅出的方式进行教学,促使他们在开阔视野的同时,建立正确的价值观和思想政治观。

五、教学过程设计

Display images from ancient Middle East to pique students' interest.

Elicit thoughts: What do you know about Jews? Have you heard any stories from the Bible?

Provide a brief overview of Jews' wandering and settling history in the Middle East.

Explain the meaning of "Hebrews" and why they were called wanderers.

Introduce the settlement of Jews in Palestine (Canaan) around 1300 B.C.

Describe how the history of Jews was orally transmitted and eventually became part of the Old Testament.

Briefly introduce the two parts of the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.

Select a few significant stories, such as Genesis, Exodus, Commandments, etc., for simple interpretation and narration.

Introduce the concept of Christianity and its distinctions from other religions.

Mention the pivotal role of Jesus Christ, his teachings, and his life.

Use questioning to have students recap the content and assess their understanding.

重点难点 This lesson centers on the rise of Christianity, emphasizing Jesus Christ's divine role, his redemptive mission, and the transformative impact of Constantine's Edict and Emperor Theodosius' decisions on Christianity's evolution.

Outline the significance of Constantine's Edict of Milan (313 AD) in granting religious freedom.

Describe Emperor Theodosius' role in making Christianity the official religion of the empire (392 AD).

Explore the transformation of Christianity from a suppressed belief to a tool of the ruling class.

Highlight the spread of Christianity to regions like China through Nestorianism

4. Marxist Interpretation of Religion (10 mins)

Introduce the basic tenets of Marxist theory and its perspective on religion as an "opiate of the masses."

Discuss how religion can be interpreted as a reflection of societal structures and class divisions.

Engage students in a discussion: How might Marxist interpretation provide an alternative view of the rise of Christianity?
