About evaluation

I. Components of evaluation and their proportions

II. Online test 

1. Total points: 65 points

2. Duration: 2 hours

3. Testing date: 9:30 a.m.---11:30 a.m., Oct. 4

    D. Summarizing details

    E. Graph-based writing 

III. Project

  1. Total points: 15 points

  2. Form: Film a video of your giving an academic presentation

  3. Time limit: 4-5 minutes

  4. Due time: Oct. 20

  5. Submission route: 学习通

  6. Requirements: 

    a. The presentation must be concerned about an academic topic.

    b. Make and use visual aids (eg. ppt) to prompt your speech and facilitate your audience.  No script of the talk should be included in them.

    c. Script independence is a must. Moderate reference to notes is allowed, but  frequent note-checking and reading are forbidden during delivery. 

    d. Make sure that your video clip is of good quality so that the entire process of delivery can be clearly seen, that your talk can  be clearly heard,  and that the visual aid can be clearly seen. 

  7. Criteria

    A. Contents (5 points):

        academic, informative,  containing valuable ideas

    B. Organization (5 points):

        topic, throughline, clear structure, good logic and cohesion

    C. Delivery(2.5 points) :

        fluent, passionate, confident

    D. Effectiveness of visual aids (2.5 points)
