There will be more plastic than ish in the world’s oceans by 2050 unless more recycling takes place. If the current trend continues, a report from the World Economic Forum and Ellen MacArthur Foundation said, oceans will contain one ton of plastic for every three tons of ish in 2025. By 2050, plastics will weigh more than ish, the report said. The problem is that each year at least 8 million tons of plastics end up in oceans around the world.
There is a way to slow the amount of plastics going into the oceans — people can recycle more. That is a major recommendation of the report by the Foundation. The report’s authors say that currently only about 14 percent of plastics are recycled.

Elephants are the biggest animals that live on land. When born, a baby elephant weighs about 91 kilograms, the weight of a grown man, and it is about 91 centimeters high. When it reaches the age of six years, it is about 183 centimeters high. When it reaches the age of twelve years, it does not grow any more. It may then be 320 centimeters high.
Elephants have very long noses which we call “trunks.” The elephant can use its trunk to smell things and it can also pick up things with the tip of its trunk. The tip of its trunk can be used like a hand.
Elephants are kind animals. When one of them is hurt and cannot pull itself on to its feet, the other elephants lift it up and help it to walk.
Some people say that elephants never forget. They remember people who are kind or cruel to them. There are many stories about this characteristic.

In a few minutes, the fire fighters arrived at the house. They pushed the kitchen door open. A small voice was calling from the bedroom. They couldn’t believe their eyes. The little girl was only 2 years old. She was sitting by her unconscious mother. She was holding her mother’s hand, and tears were running down the girl’s cheeks. The medics began giving first aid. Soon the mother opened her eyes. Then she explained what had happened. “I am seriously diabetic. I was at the dentist. When I got back, I didn’t feel well. I told my daughter, ‘mommy is sick,’ and then I fainted.” Everyone was surprised that she could call 911. “On Monday I tried to teach my daughter how to call 911. She couldn’t do it.”
The 911 operator was very surprised, too. “It’s the first time I have seen a 2-year-old call 911,” She said.
