1. Listening

(1) Study the listening skill of handling unfamiliar words.

 

(2) Listen to the passage and finish the exercises on P50.

(3) Watch the video clip focused on the skill of understanding vocabulary from context, and then choose the corresponding meaning of the words.

 

2. Speaking

(1) Practice speaking skills for keeping a discussion going and discussing the pros and cons with the expressions listed on P54.

 

(2) Discuss the questions in Critical Thinking in groups with the expressions learnt on P54.

3. Writing

(1) Get to know the principles of writing a body paragraph and a topic sentence.

 

(2) Finish the exercises.

Write a body paragraph for an essay entitled “The Impact of Technology on

Learning in Higher education”.
