Case study-Entertaining visitors from China

Part I. Preparation for discussion

  1.  Ask students to look through the background of the case and fill in the table on the computer screen. 

  2. Teacher explains some difficult language points.

     profitable, retailer, subsidiary, manufacturing firm, management strucutre, cheif exectutive, social and cultural activities...

  3. Ask Students to give a briefing about the case.


  4. Analyze the management structure.

  5. Study the email sent by the Chief executive. What key notes should be paid attention to by the PR manager?



Part II. Discuss the program to entertain the visitors.

Design: The whole class is divided into 6 groups and each group should discuss the entertaining program for the visitors. They should Work out one entertaining program and one itinerary for the visitors. After they present the results, teacher will choose the best program and the team will win 2 points for the course score.
