City life and country life
An increasing number of people around the world are moving from the country to the city. It’s said that by the year 2050, up to 85 percent of the world’s population will be living in cities. So what are the pros and cons of city life and country life?
Cities provide many more opportunities. There are more jobs available, and more educational and entertainment opportunities too. Public transportation is also good.
On the other hand, there are several disadvantages to life in the city. Although there are more jobs, there is also more competition for those jobs. The cost of living is higher, and cities can be crowded and polluted too. Finally, you are much more likely to be the victim of crime in the city.
In the country, you can expect a peaceful life with privacyand safety. Besides,
the air is cleaner and you will feel closer to nature. There’s a stronger feeling of community too.
However, country life has its disadvantages too. There are fewer educational
and entertainment opportunities. And it’s harder to get good health care in the
country.
In conclusion, both city life and country life have their advantages and
disadvantages. You should live in the place that best suits your lifestyle.

Tips for a happy commute
High inner-city rents mean that people spend more time commuting than
they ever did before. Here are some tips for you to make your daily commute a
bit better.
Take the train
Studies show that commuters who travel by train are less stressed than those
who travel by bus or car.
Turn off your cell phone
Why start working early? Resist the temptation to study or to check emails
on your cell phone. Use this time for yourself.
Bring your own entertainment
Bring a book or take a puzzle to cool down after a long day at work or
college. Or, better still, why not talk to the person next to you?
Take a break
If you use your commute time as a chance to take a break from the pressure
of everyday living, you’ll arrive at your destination feeling refreshed.

Hi Ben,
I’m so pleased you can come to my party.
I know you haven’t been to my house before,so l am sending you directions because it’s a little bit complicated.
First, you need to take the bus to Green Square. You can ask the bus driver
to let you off there. At Green Square, you’ll see a long road with trees on both sides.Walk along the road for about five minutes. When you get to the traffic lights, turn right. Walk for another five minutes until you see a park. My house isjust before the park. It’s on Glebe Street and the number is 12.
Looking f orward to meeting you!
