★Forrest Gump: unfortunately to be born with a low IQ of 75 and the muscle problem. People always think this kind of person can’t be successful in doing anything. But, instead, this unlucky man has achieved lots of incredible success—he is a football star, a war hero, and later a millionaire!


★Jenny Curran: another important woman in Forrest Gump’s life besides his mother. In their childhood,Jenny was his only friend and later his wife. In the film, Forrest Gump is a very pure image,while Jenny is the degenerate symbol. 


★Mrs. Gump: Forrest’s mother，a smart, great and wise woman, who has the strongest heart to rely on. Her words are Forrest’s eternal compass.


★Bubba: Forrest’s mate in the army and an African American. His family has cooked shrimp from generation to generation. He knew everything there was about the shrimping business. His dream was buying his own a shrimp boat after he got out of the army. Forrest Gump promised him to be partners as soon as the war was over.

 


★Dan Taylor: Forrest’s Lieutenant (陆军中尉) inthe army, and the mate after the war. He isa soldier loyal to his country. He was saved by Forrest Gump in the Vietnam War, but got amputatedand was forced to leave his beloved career.Having no direction, no family, and no pillar, he felt Forrest Gump shouldn’t have saved him and he deserved a gloriousdeath on the battlefield. But Forrest again changed his life, and Dan regaineda courage and faith and stood up in the end. 


★ Principal 校长 The principal told Forrest’s mother that Forrest Gump is a low IQ of only 75 child.


★ Dorothy Harris is Forrest’s school bus driver. She is very patient with the children.


★ Coach Bryant is  Forrest’s college football coach. He is very pleased with Forrest’s performance on the court.



★Drill Sergeant is Forrest’s military instructor after he joined the army. He is very pleased with Forrest’s training performance.


 ★ Forrest Junior is Forrest and Jenny ’s son. At the end of the film, young Forrest also goes to school in the school bus which his father ever took when he was a child, and the life begins a new cycle.
