Eric: I'm not sure. 

Jacob: Test the meat.

Eric:  How?

Jacob: Stick a roasting fork into the meat. 

Eric:  But how can I know if it is done?

Jacob: OK, I'll do it right now. Stick into and then pull it out. Check the juice.  Now the meat is done.

Eric:  Thank you for your patience. I learned it.

Jacob: Or you can test with a thermometer directly.

Eric:  Okay, could I take the meat out of the pan?

Jacob: Yes, just do it.
