 Introduction of Chinese Listening and Speaking Advanced

COURSE GOAL

This course mainly focus on the understanding of conversation from the grammar perspective and gradually to the paragraph and semantic perspective.  After finish this course, we hope you are able to achieve the following ability:

1 Able to understand the more complex Chinese conversation.

2 Able to speak the short answer from the conversation.

 

COURESE METHOD

1 Study and practice the Listening materials in the Chaoxing platform by yourself. I will give very specific explanations to each dialogue and questions.

2 After study each chapter, you should give me 1-2 questions that you don't understand. Also you need to give me your possible answer about this questions to my email :tangyinjie@nuaa.edu.cn with the title: Question lesson XX + Chinese name+ID. This will be part of your homework and will be given the marks. Deadline: every Sunday night 12 o'clock.

3 After i receive all of your questions, i will classify these questions and give a live course to answer them. To the general questions, i will give the answer together, to the specific or minority questions i will explain one by one.  

4 After every 2 lessons. I will give a oral quiz to each of the students by live course. I will speak a conversation and need you to answer it one by one. Each student will take 3-5mins. It will be just 2-3 questions and the content of the quiz comes from the past courses that you have learned.    

5 We will have 2 times Listening Quiz during the 12 weeks study time. The possible time will be in the 5th week and 10th week.

6 After each lesson, you will have homework, and i need you to give me a VIDEO to READ the answer and send to my email before Tuesday 15:00.

7 Every Lesson, i will give you one week to study by yourself. At the next Tuesday 15:00, i will check the Chaoxing Platform to see your course study completing rate of last part of the course, which will be consider as part of your attendance rate. After 12 weeks, the whole completing rate will be your attendance.

 SUMMARY

1 study the course video by yourself

2 give me 2-3 questions after the course to my email

3 get ready for oral quiz every 2 weeks.

4 we will have 2 listening quiz around 5th and 10th week

5 finish homework and send me the video of reading answer

6 i will check your completing rate of each lesson video

 

SCORE PROPORTION 

1 Daily performance (30%)

Including:

1.1 Questions Email of each course (10%)

1.2 Oral Quiz (10%)

1.3 Homework email and lesson video completing rate (10%)

 

2 Intermediate Quiz (20%)

Each time 10%

 

3 Final exam (50%)

 

COURE TIME SCHEDULE

Week 5 - Week 16 , 1 time each week. Week 5 is from 21st March.  Please go to Chaoxing platform to make sure you already have this course,every week on Wednesday the study task of that week will be published in the platform , please follow the Chapters and study the online course .

 Study task of week 1 is Lesson 12 .
