Computer Addiction
Nowadays, many people can’t live their life without a computer. We can watch movies, listen to music, play computer games, surf the Internet and search for information. It has become a device that everyone needs. This has created something that we call “computer addiction”.
Computer addiction is the overuse of computers. It affects our daily life in social interaction, mood, personality and relationships. It may also cause social disorders. Online interaction with others can make us addicted. We enjoy talking with our friends. We don’t want to be alone. For some people it’s easier to say things online. They feel safer to communicate through the Internet. Gradually we actually don’t spend any time with friends at all. We just communicate through social pages, for example, Facebook, Twitter, Skype, etc. In fact we don’t go outside as much as we used to. The worst part is that most of the time we do meaningless things, but we still can’t turn off our computer.
The computer gradually becomes our most important thing. We start to care little about anything else.
