Learning Objectives

                              Leading the Sustainability Process

       For the next two lectures, we’ll try to develop an understanding of the theory and practice of leadership in organizations and society, highlighting the need to explore different dimensions of leadership within sustainable development.  In this lecture, the relationship between learning, knowledge management and innovation will be introduced. And by examining the views of a number of writers who place leadership within a systems or ecological perspective, we’ll see the clear relevance of leadership to sustainable development practice, and the importance of dialogues in sustainable development process.

Therefore, after you have learned this chapter , you can 

1. Understand the theory and practice of leadership in organizations and society of sustainable development;

2. Know the need to explore different dimensions of leadership within sustainable development;

3. Comprehend  the relationship between learning, knowledge management and innovation on performing sustainable development.
